One Day Emergency First Aid at Work Course(New HSE Approved)

In-house Training at your work-place.

Course Description:

This new HSE approved qualification came into effect on the 1^st October 2009, along with new guidance on assessing the needs of First Aid in your workplace.

Your risk assessment of First Aid needs may well identify the need for Emergency First Aider's, either as an addition to your First Aider's, or where the risk of your business is low, it may well identify them as being sufficient, without the need of additional First Aider's

Course Duration:

A minimum of 6 hours consisting of theoretical and practical activities.

Syllabus:

A range of subjects is covered including:- Responsibilities and reporting

Assessment of the situation

Basic hygiene in First Aid

Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

Resuscitation

Heart attacks

Bleeding control

Minor injuries

Angina

Chocking

Shock

Seizures

Certification:

The course tutor will carry out an on-going assessment and successful students will receive a certificate recognised by the Health and Safety Executive valid for a period of three years.

Numbers:

A maximum of 12 students are allowed and must be aged a minuimum of 16 yeas or above. Bigger groups can be catered for, but the ratio must not exceed 12 students per instructor.

We are abel  to deliver this course on site,          reducing your costs in respect of additional time  out and travelling.  

 

  

One* or Two Day Paediatric Course

This course has been developed for those who are working with children and babies.

It will be of particular interest to Teachers, Child Minders, Creche Assistants, Playgroup personnel and anyone responsible for youth organisations.

It is ideal for those who are responsible for the health and welfare of children and babies, and who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid.

In addition to the 1-day Paediatric course, this course covers many childhood conditions and illnesses.

A 12- hour consisting of theoretical and practical work.

Certification:

Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual, on-going throughout the course. this qualification is valid for 3 years.
